Why not just use free Gmail?
Because [email protected] earns more trust than [email protected], and the domain is yours: if you switch providers, the address comes with you.
Do I need a domain? Can it be registered elsewhere?
You need a domain, and it can be with any registrar. With DNS on UQBITZ setup is automatic; elsewhere, you copy the records we show you.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Any IMAP/SMTP app: the built-in mail app on iPhone and Android, Apple Mail, Thunderbird. Calendar and contacts sync over CalDAV and CardDAV.
How many mailboxes, and how much space each?
It depends on the plan: from 10 mailboxes of 5 GB on Micro to unlimited mailboxes of 50 GB on Max.
How do I keep my email out of spam?
With SPF, DKIM and DMARC on your domain. UQBITZ publishes all three when DNS is here, or gives you the list to publish.
Can I bring my current email?
If it’s on cPanel, yes, with every message, through email-only migration. From other providers, not yet.
Which currency do I pay in?
US dollars, euros or Brazilian reais — you choose on the site.
